The following is how we run our events.
- Please arrive before tech check starts so you can set up and get checked in before the last second; we don’t always set up in the same place on the field; however, we always have a place we would prefer you set up at.
- After completing the tech check, get your quad, goggles, and radio ready as if you’re in the first heat.
- At the pilot briefing, we will discuss safety procedures, track flow, and anything specific to this event and answer questions.
We have the pilots walk through the gate one at a time at the start of the event to make sure pilots are on the correct channel, and as a final check of the timing equipment, you only need to do this once
We run our heats back to back when possible so try to have your gear ready. - Mains: You will be given your Mains position at the end of qualifying, and you may need to change channels. If you can’t change polarity, it’s up to you to find someone in your mains bracket to change frequencies and then let the race director know.
- At the end of the event, it is beneficial if pilots can grab gates, stakes, etc., and drag them to the container for us to put away (this is not required but appreciated).

Safety Briefing
- No powering up VTXs in the Pits.
- No arming your quad unless it's on the field or the race staff has told you it is ok to do so.
- No taking off if you crash/land in the pits or near people.
- In the event of a fire alert, the race director will determine whether or not to stop the race to put it out or let it burn. We are only concerned with the race equipment and a grass fire if you want us to put your quad out.
- No proceeding out into the field until all pilots have landed; when in doubt, look at the flight line to see if anyone has goggles on.
- In the unlikely event the race director says land now, you will quickly land the race director may give more instruction, for example, “bring the quads back and land,” “Land immediately where you are” (this means to kill it and let it drop it’s an emergency).
