MultiGP News Episode 46: Cory “MewoFPV” Ibanez Sets Another Jaw dropping Fast Time Inching Closer To Record Breaking 8 Lap Run

Regional Qualifier Update

Cory “MewoFPV” Ibanez took the lead nationally week #2 with 21 laps in 6:39 seconds, that time stood until week #3. Then, on Saturday week #4, he raised the bar to 21 laps – 6:25 (3 seconds faster per round) and was 4 seconds away from getting onto lap-8. Sunday in Mocksville, NC Evan “Headsupfpv” Turner took the #1 spot in the nation with 21 laps in 6:19 and was 3.7 seconds away from an 8th lap. Then, as if to answer the call, 3 hours later in Sacramento, CA Cory “MewoFPV” Ibanez took back the lead with 21 laps in 6:11 and also reclaims being the closest to the elusive lap 8… just 2.9 seconds from the go-ahead flag. Now there was an administrative error with a pilot that was ranked #1 in the nation for week #3. That has been reviewed, identified as a lap correction that did not include an elapsed time correction and has since been revised with the accurate total.  Some may have noticed the error, but it wasn’t announced as official last week as it was under review.
Some more Regional Series drama, Evan “HeadsupFPV” Turner who is one of the fastest in the nation, recently applied for a region change due to a schedule conflict.  Under the 2018 Regional Series Rules and Regulations, 10.3.2 “If for some reason you cannot attend the regional final you qualified for, you may attend another region’s final with approval by MultiGP”.  He will be competing to represent America on behalf of the AMA in an International Plane competition, and his request was granted. Currently ranked first-over-all in the South-East and 2nd overall Nationally, which regional final will he turn up in?
