FAA Remote ID and our Sport
Recent FAA announcements have stated plans for a Remote ID system to be required for drones to operate safely in the airspace. MultiGP firmly believes that it is important to the future of drone racing for our drones to operate safely in the national airspace and not impede the innovations of drone delivery systems and the safety of full scale aircraft. We also believe that the FAA can accomplish it’s goals for a safe national airspace without damaging our emerging sport.
At this moment we are reviewing the FAA proposal, and discussing the implications to our sport with other organizations like the AMA, FliteTest Community Organization and other community leaders.
